Administrative Department for Finance and Budget

The Administrative Department for Finance and Budget performs professional tasks in the preparation of draft budget proposals, amendments and additions to the budget, prepares reports on the execution of the County Budget and accompanying acts and prescribed reports related to the budget. Monitors daily revenue collection and execution of budget expenditures and budget liquidity.

Department activities

Proposes measures to increase revenues and reduce expenditures. Performs the tasks of establishing a single accounting system of the county treasury from the transaction system through the cash flow and liquidity management system to the financial information management system. Keeps prescribed business records and registers. Keeps a register and collection of concessions and boats fees. Performs tasks related to the establishment and development of internal controls. Performs tasks related to the preparation of the statement of fiscal responsibility for the county and the tasks of essential control for budget users and owned companies. Participates in borrowing procedures and monitoring of obligations under given guarantees and consents. Performs supervision of budget users in accordance with the law and other regulations. Keeps business books, prepares financial plans, reports on the execution of financial plans and financial reports for individual budget users. Conducts the procedure and decides in administrative matters in the second instance upon the submitted appeals against the decisions made by the administrative bodies of local self-government units in the area of ​​Zadar County for determining city and municipal taxes. Performs other tasks in accordance with the law.
