Administrative Department for Maritime Domain, Sea and Transport

Department activities:

The Administrative Department for Maritime Domain, Sea and Transport performs professional and administrative tasks in the field of shipping, maritime domain, seaports, carries out procedures for granting concessions on maritime domain. The Department implements activities related to the maintenance, management, protection and improvement of maritime domain; carries out procedures for determining maritime domain and port area’s border proposals, maintains a register of concessions on the maritime domain. It monitors and coordinates the work of the Zadar County Port Authority. The Department monitors the situation, proposes measures to achieve the best traffic connection of cities and municipalities in the county area, and performs other tasks within the authorities’ scope of the Zadar County in the transport sector. It monitors and coordinates the work of the Zadar County Road Administration.

The Department also carries out tasks entrusted to the state administration which are recently assigned to the Zadar County by extraordinary laws which relate to road transport; issuing licenses for the performance of internal public road transport, licenses for the performance of auto taxi transport, licenses for the performance of station services, licenses for the performance of agency activities in road traffic, licenses for renting vehicles with a driver and issuing a decision on the registration of transport for private requirements, issuing an extract from the registration of transport for private requirements, making decisions in matters related to the issuance of accessibility signs in the name of a person with disabilities, and work tasks, i.e. work contracts for seafarers and persons engaged on maritime vessels.
